The international cooperation is mainly focused on neighbouring countries - the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Austria and Ukraine and is implemented in various forms – reciprocal participation and lectures at professional events, organizing joint events and competitions, publishing a joint magazine, joint leaders' meetings, technical excursions to major transport constructions and more.

Extremely intensive cooperation takes place especially with the Czech Road Society (www.silnicnispolecnost.cz), which is based on many years of contacts and cooperation among experts and exchange of expertise and experience.

The cooperation within the Visegrad Group V4 countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and the Slovak Republic) is very beneficial, focusing mainly on organizing joint professional events (conferences, seminars, webinars, etc.), but also competitions. The most important activity in this regard is the Rodeo V4 – a driving skills competition for winter maintenance vehicle drivers. The defining framework for this cooperation is the Letter of intent of the V4 countries in the field of road construction, signed on 3 December 2019 in Warsaw with the participation of the President of the PIARC, Mr Claude Van Rooten.

Some cooperation has also taken place with other countries, such as the USA, Germany, France, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Vietnam, the Baltic countries, Romania and others.
